Export Chats and Contacts
Your WhatsApp messages and contacts are read inside your own browser and written straight to a file on your computer. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. The only thing this extension ever sends over the network is a licence key, and only if you have bought a Pro subscription.
Only on https://web.whatsapp.com, and only when you press Download:
If you tick Include media, the extension also asks WhatsApp Web to download the attachments in the chats you selected — images, video, voice notes and documents — and puts them in the .zip beside the export. That download happens between your browser and WhatsApp's own servers; the files are never sent to us.
This is your own data, already on screen in the tab you are signed in to. It is formatted into the file type you picked and handed to Chrome's download manager. It is not transmitted, not stored by us, and not retained by the extension after the file is written.
If you have a Pro subscription, the extension sends your licence key to
/api/license/verify on this domain to check whether the subscription is still active. That
request contains the licence key and nothing else — no messages, no phone numbers, no names, no chat titles.
Our server answers with active or not active and an expiry date.
Standard web server logs record the IP address and timestamp of that request, as any web server does. They are kept for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then deleted.

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (subject to the tax retention period above). Mail info@oemline.eu and we will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
The extension is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Updates are published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to what we collect will also be shown in the extension.
